I am so sad for her loss!

When we were going through the whole chicken debate, all of these issues came up (or were skirted around as with the case of racism), but at least no one poisoned anyone's animals.LifeTransPlanethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18193361028205770615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1597962041784498695.post-46909698460260052052010-12-11T21:56:46.764-07:002010-12-11T21:56:46.764-07:00How sad. I'm tired of neighbors 'dealing'(not) with things they have issues with through the back door. And then to feel justified. I am surrounded by 4, big noisy dogs and haven't resorted to such despicable acts.Avahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10853788066426028963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1597962041784498695.post-69248142684381762022010-12-11T09:58:45.290-07:002010-12-11T09:58:45.290-07:00Thank you for saying the "unsaid, real reason...Thank you for saying the "unsaid, real reason" - via your reference to Tijuana. And the comparison to other pets- very insightful.
Very nice article.
I'm sharing! To ensure the police ...I've been through this. To ensure the police are investigating, call the police department tomorrow and speak with the Watch Commander or Sargeant or Captain or whomever is the supervisor on duty. Ask them how they are investigating it, who is assigned to the case and get their contact info. Through this conversation, you may find they are not investigating, but merely took a report and filed it. If they are not investigating, you must do it yourself; don't disturb the area, look for footprints, hire an investigator if possible, consider who had access, where the poison was purchased, how they distributed it, ask neighbors if they have security video, etc.

If she doesn't catch and convict the person that did this, it will most certainly happen again.

The faceless coward that did this deserves to be stoned to death, or fed the same poison, or have their hands removed, or incarcerated with probationary terms that require them to provide a lifetime of community service. I do not joke about this.

She should examine the people and neighbors closest to her for motive. Or honestly ask herself who does she know that voiced any dissatisfaction with her flock.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08697492080891779846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1597962041784498695.post-42961649872298344632010-12-10T19:34:11.687-07:002010-12-10T19:34:11.687-07:00Try not to get angry, try not to get angry, try no...Try not to get angry, try not to get angry, try not to get angry.... if I repeat it enough times will it keep me from blowing my top?

I won't say what I want to say. I'm sure I'd regret it if I did.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with that. To people around here, chickens are about as common as parakeets. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that more people have chickens than a caged indoor bird.

Somehow we've all managed to not die of bird flu. Maybe we're immune?Everetthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12363036698991655608noreply@blogger.com
